Free as they want to be: Artists Committed to Memory Opening

This reception opens a traveling exhibition at the Hunter Museum on October 1. The show gathers contemporary artists who use archival material to link history, memory, and freedom. It takes its title from James Baldwin’s line that people are as free as they want to be. The evening runs as part of the museum’s Throwback Thursday series and welcomes the general public.
