Downtown Jasper is the historic Main Street district of Jasper, Tennessee, in Marion County, about an hour from Chattanooga. The district sits at the edge of the Cumberland Plateau, and the surrounding terrain gives Jasper a distinct character from the valley towns closer to the city. Main Street has local restaurants, shops, and a small-town commercial core that hosts seasonal outdoor events and community celebrations throughout the year. The annual Cruzin the Depot car show is one of the more consistent recurring draws, and local organizations host markets and festivals on the streets during warmer months. The area also serves as a gateway for exploring the Tennessee River Gorge and surrounding natural areas. Parking on Main Street and in adjacent lots is free.
