Home Again: A Benefit for TIRRC

This benefit concert supports the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition. Kofi Mawuko leads the Ogya World Music Band, a Chattanooga group he founded. Mawuko is a Ghanaian native, and his name for the band means “fire” in the Ewe language. The band blends West African rhythms with reggae, Afrobeat, blues, jazz, and rock. Their live shows feature master drumming, dynamic horns, and vibrant dancing. Mariah Friend joins the bill. Doors and music start at 6:30 PM.
